Rules
#1 Driver of Discount Taxi can not give away calls coming from Discount Taxi phone number to drivers from other cab companies because:
a. they have higher meter rates and that fact alone undermines our business, eg. people wont call again if instead paying $10 for a ride, they are ending paying $14
b. because behavior like this supports competition
c. because in front of the law it is illegal and not acceptable by any cab company we know.
d. giving away calls is only permissible among Discount Taxi drivers
e. giving away calls to other companies is only permissible, if the call is out of our general area of operation and after informing customer, that service will be provided by other company.
#2 If driver decides to make a pick up at Tampa Airport or conduct any other illegal activity, he is fully responsible for any action against him and against Discount Taxi eg. if cab gets impounded, he would have to cover costs of releasing a cab.
#3 Any form of call auto answer is acceptable as long as a cab is standing still and it is in general area of Discount Taxi operations, so please don't auto answer if you in Clearwater or Tampa or while driving with or without passenger. This would be considered as a stealing livelihood from other drivers.
#4 For safety reasons, a driver at Discount Taxi is only allowed to work 18 hours per day, this time includes driving and answering phones.
